Position: Account Manager
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (plus bonus)
Location: Abingdon (OX14)
Hours: Monday – Friday (08:15 – 17:00, with an early finish every Friday)

The Opportunity  

Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working alongside an innovative and technical client with an outstanding reputation who are looking to recruit an Account Manager to join their friendly team based in Abingdon.  

As Account Manager, you will mainly be responsible for managing a number of existing client accounts with the view to ensuring complete satisfaction and ultimately grow over a period of time. A smaller part of this role is work closely with the marketing team to generate new business and bringing in new leads, so a background in sales and being commercially aware is essential. 

Whilst the job of Account Manager will mainly be office based, there will occasionally be the requirement to travel to meet clients or indeed attend events therefore it’s important you are also comfortable in that type of environment.  

The successful Account Manager will also be responsible for working collaboratively across different departments in order to ensure successful delivery of each job so strong stakeholder management is key within the role.

Requirements 

• Experience of excelling within a technical account management role or similar  
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to build and nurture key client relationships  
• Ambitious and dynamic with a genuine desire to build your skill set and progress with the company 
• Whilst 80% of the role is Account Management, the successful candidate must be confident on the new business side 
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
