The Opportunity:
Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working with a well-established technical business that operates within a regulated industry who are looking for a Managing Director to replace the current post holder who will be stepping away from the day-to-day duties once the successful candidate has been hired.
As Managing Director, it will be your responsibility to manage an experienced team of technicians and the management team as well as the day-to-day operations of the business whilst reporting to the Global Operations Director who was previously in this role and will be supporting the transition.
The day-to-day of this role will involve people management, business planning, budgeting and taking responsibility for liaising with customers and vendors.
The Managing Director vacancy is well-suited to a highly intelligent and business-savvy candidate with demonstrated experience of managing a technical business and excellent problem-solving skills.

Requirements:
Previous management experience within a technical environment
A strong and engaging leader with the ability to guide and develop a team of experienced employees, many of which are experts within their field therefore strong listening skills are equally key
Extremely organised with great attention to detail and a high level of business awareness
Technical knowledge and excellent analytical skills
