Position: Complaint Handler
Location: Abingdon (OX14)
Salary: £26,000 to £29,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, normally worked between the hours of 08:00 – 16:30, 9:00 – 17:30 or 10:00 – 18:30 (Monday – Friday) with the occasional 11:30 – 20:00 and c. 1 in 13 weekend shifts

The Opportunity 

Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working with a well-known UK national client, who are looking to recruit a confident and solution focused Complaint Handler to join their rapidly expanding and exceptional Customer Operations department.  

As Complaint Handler, you will be responsible for taking ownership of all escalated customer cases and working to find a solution with each customer. The queries forwarded to this department tend to be complex therefore the successful candidate must be passionate about building relationships and a fantastic rapport with customers, have very strong communication skills and also have a compassionate and empathetic approach to each individual case, to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

  • A real problem solver with proven experience of finding solutions for each customer case 
  • The confidence and professionalism to act as an escalation point to resolve customer issues and complaints  
  • A positive and solution focused approach to resolving issues   
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the willingness to supervise people when required
