Position: Buying Administrator

Salary: £13ph – £15ph pro rata

Location: Oxford (home-based)

Hours: 15 hours per week (with some flexibility)

The Opportunity

Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working with an Oxfordshire based business professional who is seeking a part-time Buying Administrator to support her over the next 3 month to accelerate the company’s UK visibility.

As Buying Administrator, your role will initially be to research and analyse competitors and the market as well as writing copy for their new website.

Once the website has been completed and launched the successful Buying Administrator will be responsible for researching prospects, wholesalers and retailers to introduce their offering. It is therefore really important the successful candidate is confident and a strong verbal communicator.

The successful Buying Administrator will also be confident to work independently as the role is home based, although you will have the support of a very experienced business owner and mentor.

Our client are a well-established importing business who specialise in sourcing goods from within the Indian market. The UK offering is head up by a well-known and respected Oxford based business professional with strong connections and ties within India.

Our client source and buy a range of products for businesses and corporations from well-known retailers to independent SME’s.

As part of their expansion our client are looking to accelerate their UK platform, which is the reason the role has been developed.

Requirements

• Experience as merchandiser/buyer, within a retail background
• Some knowledge of buying and selling from India
• Comfortable to be able to work independently
• Very strong copywriting and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility and the ability to work alone is essential
