Position: Corporate Business Development Officer
Location: Abingdon (OX14)
Salary: £24,000 – £27,000
Hours: 35 hours (Monday – Friday)

The Opportunity:
Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working with a well-established charity with offices in the Abingdon area, who are looking to recruit a passionate Corporate Business Development Officer to encourage partnerships across the local area.
As Corporate Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for generating corporate fundraising leads, where you will manage, maintain and grow working relationships with businesses to help support the income for the charity but also to ensure the businesses gain absolute benefit.
Whilst you will be based in Abingdon, you will regularly attend networking events and client meetings to pitch and present the charity, to encourage business involvement. Additionally, you will organise fundraising events and campaigns to encourage new sponsorship and also assist the marketing team, in order to promote such events.
The successful Corporate Business Development Officer will be empathic and passionate about charity but equally, commercially aware and creative with ideas of how to build pertinent relationships with businesses locally.

Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (you will be required to travel nationally)
Ability to work flexible hours
Experience in fundraising sales (or a comparable role)
Confident to deliver and pitch presentations to potential sponsors
Be able to retain business and also grow businesses’ existing sponsorship
Enthusiastic about the charity and the desire to grow the income of the charity
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent telephone and face to face communication skills
