The Opportunity
Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working with an innovative and highly technical Abingdon-based charity who are looking to recruit a Finance and Office Administrator to join their friendly and fast-growing team.
As Finance and Office Administrator, your main responsibility will be to work on the day-to-day finance and general administration needs of the charity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing bank reconciliations, raising invoices and purchase orders, handling staff expenses, assisting with VAT returns, but also providing general administrative support to the wider team, and communicating with clients, customers and service users via the telephone and email too.
Whilst you would work closely alongside the Finance Director and Office Manager, and have support from a wider administrative team, both on a local level and across the UK, it is vital for this role that the successful candidate is a real ‘doer’ and comfortable working independently especially within the finance capacity.

Requirements
Previous experience working within a finance-focused admin position
Experience using Sage 50 or a similar package
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels
Extremely organised with great attention to detail and the confidence to work independently
Ethically driven with a real desire to make a positive impact on everybody around you
