Position: Online Sales Executive
Location: Abingdon (OX14)
Salary: £28,000 base salary (plus strong benefits)
Hours: Monday – Friday (09:00 to 17:30)

The Opportunity:   

Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working alongside a fast-growing e-commerce business, who are looking to recruit a confident Online Sales Executive to join their busy team based in Abingdon.   

As Online Sales Executive, the biggest part of your role will be to call customers once they have made a purchase online to ensure the order is correct, answer any questions and also ‘upsell’ additional products in a consultative and customer service focused way.    

Additionally the successful Online Sales Executive will also deal with inbound calls from customers who typically have a technical enquiry before making the purchase. It will therefore be important to build strong product knowledge, which will be achieved by thorough training (both internal and with the manufacturers) but also your own inquisitive drive.   

Thompson & Terry Recruitment’s client offers over 750 unique products and work to a number of SLAs, putting the customer at the heart of everything they do, therefore the successful Online Sales Executive must be passionate about service but also hold the drive to meet sales targets.  

This Online Sales Executive role would be well suited to candidates who have previous customer service focused sales experience but are also super ambitious to learn and progress within a thriving e-commerce business.

Requirements:   

• Previous sales experience with the confidence and drive to pick up the phone to exceed targets   
• A strong desire to build outstanding product knowledge via training and an inquisitive nature 
• A strong communicator both over the phone and in writing, as well as being ‘tech-savvy’ and holding basic numerical skills
• A real team player, who is service focused and genuinely excited to help to grow a rapidly expanding small business
