Position: Sales and Marketing Executive
Location: Remote role/based in the Midlands with offices in Newbury (RG14)
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 basic salary (+ bonus/commission structure)
Hours: Monday – Friday (09:00 – 17:30) with the occasional evening/weekend

Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working with a global business with their UK head offices based in Newbury who are looking to recruit a confident and enthusiastic Sales and Marketing Executive to build relationships with universities across the UK and recruit students for truly once-in-a-lifetime overseas volunteering trips.  

As Sales and Marketing Executive, it will be your responsibility to promote overseas programmes by delivering in-person presentations and advising students on a 1-1 basis about the unique opportunities available, but also contacting students and universities on social media platforms, over the telephone and via email enquiries. 

The Sales and Marketing Executive vacancy is well-suited to an energetic, outgoing and confident candidate who is looking for a multidimensional role. Whilst the role is largely sales-focused, the successful candidate will also be involved in interacting with potential customers and increasing the brand presence through social media.  

Whilst the Thompson & Terry Recruitment’s client already has a presence across the UK, they see this Sales and Marketing Executive being based in the Midlands as there will be a lot of time spent on the road visiting universities. Therefore, being based centrally would definitely be an advantage.

Our client is looking to recruit a confident and energetic Sales and Marketing Executive to join their team, and are happy for the right candidate to work remotely with 1-2 days per month in their Newbury office as well as a lot of time spent travelling to universities across the UK and occasionally overseas.  

Requirements:   

• Highly ambitious and proactive with a drive to make sales through a variety of methods including face-to-face presentations, telemarketing techniques and social media interactions  
• A strong and engaging communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills   
• A real team player with the ability and autonomy to manage a varied workload and multitask  
• Whilst a university degree isn’t essential for this role, having experience/a great understanding of universities and the further education system is desirable 
• Previous experience of travelling or working in the travel or charity sector would also be desirable 
• As there would be travel associated with the role, the successful Sales and Markeing Executive will need to hold a full UK driving license and be comfortable spending lots of time on the road
