- Stay up-to-date – if you’ve made a profile previously, make sure that your CV and preferences are up-to-date – an old CV will likely restrict you in your job search

- Recruitment agencies are here to help! They have a lots of client contacts and vacancies that could help you to find your perfect role
- Look for specialised agencies – lots of agencies specialise in different sectors or industries, so signing up to these will likely help you to narrow your search

Speculative Applications
- Do some research – look for specific companies that you’d like to join, Glassdoor is a great resource for this as it shows detailed company reviews from real employees
- Apply speculatively – look for the emails of hiring managers, either via careers web-pages or LinkedIn and send across a CV and covering letter speculatively – stating why you’d love to join their business and what job you’re looking for
- Even if they don’t currently have any relevant jobs, speculative applications will reflect positively on you and they may consider you for future vacancies
