The time has come for me to start my maternity leave and I cannot quite believe we are at this point already! I am feeling a range of emotions; nervous, excited, apprehensive but most of all TIRED!

Since joining Thompson & Terry Recruitment in 2019 on a Graduate scheme, I have developed so much as a person. As I reflect on my time with T&T so far, I can’t believe I am *finally* admitting that every comfort zone Ben has pushed me out of and every idea he has had for me that didn’t fit my ‘safe place’ has been incredible for me.

In my nearly 3 years of working for the company, I have been promoted to Junior Recruitment and Marketing Manager, learned how to run a business and the good, bad and ugly that comes with this, networked with over 150 local business owners on a weekly basis (including leading a networking event last month), got involved with the business plans, volunteered and mentored school leavers, took complete ownership of our businesses’ entire marketing and currently working towards my next promotion.

I am leaving Ben with our two amazing new graduates; Cara and Sam – who I wish the absolute best of luck to on their journey with Thompson & Terry Recruitment (seize every opportunity!)

But I will be back in a couple of months, ready to continue pushing my career and juggling my new family life. Thank you to Ben for always being so encouraging, allowing me to have the same opportunities in my work and supporting me through this new journey. I actually think I might miss him and his awful jokes every morning on our sales meeting!!!
