#TakeoverChallenge – An interview with Tom Freeman
Takeover is a fun, hugely successful and exciting engagement project which sees organisations across England opening their doors to children and young people to take over adult roles.
It puts children and young people in decision-making positions and encourages organisations and businesses to hear their views. Children gain an insight into the adult world and organisations benefit from a fresh perspective about their work.
Last Friday we welcomed Tom Freeman, a member of Didcot Sixth Form College into our ranks partnering our resourcing team. We caught up with Tom over the weekend for a Q&A.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, meaning this placement has gone above and beyond in my expectations.
What has a work experience placement taught you?
My placement has given me an insight into the working world, through attending meetings and working alongside directors.
What are your longer term ambitions beyond schooling?
My ambitions long term are focused within politics, since I wish to attend university and study Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

Before this it was not, though after this placement I will certainly consider it.
Would you recommend the #TakeoverChallenge to other prospective employers?
I would, since before this I had no knowledge of the recruitment industry, and it has given me an insight into an industry I had never before expected to be involved with, making me aware that such services are out there. It serves as an excellent way for businesses to get themselves out there.
