Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working with a growing charitable organisation based near Wallingford, who are looking to recruit an efficient and independent Operations Manager to join their friendly team on a part-time basis.
The successful Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a small team, managing the efficiency of people, processes and procedures, bridging the gap between the organisation and Trustees, and reporting on finances and performance alongside other general operations.
Other duties associated with the Operations Manager role will include leading on recruitment, onboarding and training, approving operational expenses, overseeing the procurement process, data protection, health & safety and compliance and working closely with the Communications & Events Manager to assist with the operational organisation of events.
The Operations Manager position would be well-suited to candidates with a background in fast-paced operational management and the ability to ‘wear many hats’ as there will be times when you are the most senior member of the team. Candidates coming from a leadership position within a small business would be well-suited for this role or those with demonstrated skills in organisation, people management and process monitoring/improvement.

Experience working in a similar role and drive to move the organisation forward through innovation, problem-solving and decision-making
The proven ability to organise and manage a small team alongside own workload
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to people manage but also communicate with trustees, suppliers, partners and other members
Strong IT skills and experience using operational management software
